Simon Staffler

Taster, expert and critic for Italian wines, spirits and gastronomy

Simon Staffler was born and lives in South Tyrol and is a profound connoisseur of the Italian wine and gastronomy landscape. Since 2017 he has been working as a taster, expert and critic for Italian wines, spirits and gastronomy for Falstaff and Wineline. Every year he tastes, describes and evaluates thousands of wines and is one of the most influential wine critics for Italian wine in the German-speaking world. Staffler studied and graduated in geography and holds a master's degree in general management. He maintains close friendly contacts with many Italian winemakers, especially the younger generation.
