THOMAS SPARKED THE IDEA FOR BEAM  


Thomas Mur graduated with a degree in Business Administration from the University of Innsbruck, specialising in digital communication and marketing. After graduating, he worked for several years as a project manager in electronics development for Audi and VW at ESG GmbH in Ingolstadt. Before joining Fiera Bolzano, he worked in consultancy for medium and large companies in the fields of digital marketing, communication, and recruiting. Since 2015, he has been the CEO of Fiera Bolzano SpA.

Why did Messe Bozen develop an innovative event format like BEAM?

In recent years, inspiring and experiential event formats have emerged in Europe. To remain attractive, many international trade show companies, including us, have integrated elements from these formats into their own events. Given that Fiera Bolzano has been very successful for many years in developing niche trade shows with high credibility and a strong local focus, it was only natural for us to venture into a completely new event format. South Tyrol has developed considerable expertise in the hospitality industry, making the region an ideal location for the new BEAM event format, which is aimed at pioneers in the industry. This format, whose name symbolises "be ambitious," aims to promote the region's tourism and economic development by placing visionaries and their ideas at the centre. It integrates both local and international perspectives to explore new opportunities and promote sustainable development.
