Grufrut group in Bronzolo

The cooperative Grufrut group, based in Branzoll/Bronzolo, is one of eleven cooperatives in the VOG area. It was founded in 1968 and, following several mergers with surrounding cooperatives, it now has around 600 members. In the cooperative Grufrut group, the apples of the members are stored, sorted, packed, and prepared for transport. The apples of the cooperative – a total of about 1,500 hectares – are grown on fields between Bolzano and Salorno.

Klaus Pfeifer’s integrated fruit farm in Laives

Klaus Pfeifer runs a fruit and wine farm in Laives together with his wife Evi. In addition to farming, the family also offers farm vacations with 4 vacation apartments, so welcoming guests from all over the world is part of their everyday life.

Klaus Pfeifer has been working intensively with multi-axis training systems for 5 years and has now installed several systems on his farm. He is convinced that high-quality apples from South Tyrol can hold their own on the international market in the long term. He grows the Gala, Kanzi, Granny Smith, Giga and Pink Lady varieties on his farm.

Where: departure by bus from Piazza Fiera at 8:30am and return at 12:30pm
