- OSF’s flagship project, the nonbrowning Arctic® apple, is the first bioengineered apple commercially approved in the U.S. and Canada. Neal and his family grow and pack apples and cherries outside OSF at their orchards in British Columbia’s beautiful Okanagan Valley.
For over 40 years, Neal has worked globally with a broad range of crops as a bioresource engineer. - This has included both temperate and tropical crops ranging from maize to mango; from growing to harvesting, packing, storage, processing, and packaging. Through this firsthand experience, Neal knows biotechnology can help agriculture meet ever-expanding global food demand.
