Thomas Letschka

  • Born and raised in South Tyrol, is a molecular biologist at the Laimburg Research Centre. He studied microbiology at the University of Innsbruck (A) and completed his PhD in Molecular Cell Biology. 
  • After dedicating his research to the molecular mechanisms behind phytoplasmosis, he took charge of the Molecular Biology Laboratory at the Laimburg Research Centre. Since 2021, he is leading the Institute for Agriculture and Food Quality and dedicates his research to the molecular aspects of apple breeding.
